The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program in cooperation with FAWE Rwanda started a 9-year scholarship program to provide 2000 girls and boys in Rwanda quality education through scholarships to complete secondary and university education.
The program will support 1,800 girls and 200 boys. These will be selected through a transparent process. Part of the program package includes academic enhancement tutorials, youth leadership and life skills training based on the FAWE Tuseme youth empowerment model, training in ICT, entrepeneurship and financial skills, career exposition as well as linking the scholars to the world of work. More information about the application process can be found here (insert link).
After their program, the scholars are enlisted in an alumni network to continue the spirit of volunteerism and passion to give back to their communities.
